Water Babies

Start Date: June 1st – August 31st

Target Age: 6 months – 3 years old

Location: Family Pool

An interactive parent-child class that will work with parents to teach them how to work with their child most safely and effectively in the water. This class also introduces babies to the water in a fun and safe environment to teach them to love the water from an early age.

Skills: water acclimation, blowing bubbles, floating, and arm and leg movements. Every child MUST have an adult in the water with them.


Learn to Swim – Level I

Start Date: May 1st – August 31st

Duration: 30 mins.

Location: Family Pool

Target Age: 3-5 years old

Swimmer to Instructor Ratio: 3 to 1

Small group lessons for first-time swimmers and those transitioning from parent-child classes.

Learn to Swim – Level II

Start Date: May 1st – September 30th

Duration: 30 mins.

Target Age: 3-5 years old

Location: Family Pool

Swimmer to Instructor Ratio: 4 to 1

Small group lessons for swimmers who have had some swim lessons and who can put their face in the water, blow bubbles, and move short distances in the water with no assistance.

  4. Kicks with Barbell
  5. Back Float with/without Barbell

Learn to Swim – Level III

Start Date: May 1st – September 30th

Duration: 30 mins.

Target Age: 4-6 years old

Location: Family Pool / Lap Pool

Swimmer to Instructor Ratio: 5 to 1

This 30 minute developmental swim team workout for more advanced swimmers who can swim to the flags with no assistance.  The focus will be on stroke development and learning the foundations of Freestyle and Backstroke.

Learn to Swim – Level IV

Program Dates: April 1st – September 30th

Duration: 40 mins.

Target Age: 4-6 years old

Location: Lap Pool

Swimmer to Instructor Ratio: 6 to 1

This 40 minute developmental swim team workout for more advanced swimmers who can swim across the pool with little to no assistance.  The focus will be on stroke development and learning the foundations of the four main swimming strokes.

  1. Freestyle Kick 1/2 of the Pool Unassisted
  2. Freestyle Arms Flags to 1/2 Pool Unassisted
  3. Backstroke Arms
  4. Jump from Side Unassisted and Return to Wall.
  5. Roll to Float and Return to Stomach
  6. Overhand Strokes to Breath
  7. Back Stroke Thumb to Pinky
  8. Ability to Listen/ Follow instruction in Group Environment.
  9. Watermelons to Dive Transitions.
  10. Streamlines on Stomach/Back Submerged.

Kick Start Clinic 

Program Dates: April 1st – April 25th

Duration:  5 – 6 30 Minutes. / 7-10: 45 Minutes. /11 & Ups: 1 Hour.

Target Age: 6+

Location: Lap Pool

The Kick Start Clinic is a four-week session geared toward the six and older Summer League swimmers looking to get a kick start on their summer season. Swimmers learn essential skills for all four strokes. Each week is specific to one stroke while also working in starts to every session.

Requirements

Swimmers must be able to complete a full 25 yd Free and Back

6 and Unders

Week 1 and 2: Freestyle Balance, Rhythm, Breathing, and Starts.

Week 3 and 4: Backstroke Balance, Rhythm, Kick, and Starts.

7 and Older

Week 1: Freestyle Balance, Rhythm, Breathing, and Starts.

Week 2: Backstroke Balance, Rhythm, Kick, and Starts.

Week 3: Breastroke Balance, Rhythm, Kick, and Pullouts.

Week 4: Butterfly Balance, Rhythm, Kick, and Breathing.

Takeoff Swimmers 

Program Dates: July 3rd  – August 31st

Target Age: 6-8 years old

This 45 minute developmental swim team workout is focused on younger swimmers who have just started out with the swim team, and will focus on improving swimming strength, technique, and endurance in the off season.  Swimmers will be able to stay active and keep up their swimming skills after the summer league season has ended.

Soaring Swimmers 

Program Dates: July 3rd  – August 31st

Target Age: 7+ years old

This 45 minute developmental swim team workout is focused on more advanced swimmers who are able to swim all four strokes, and will focus on continuing to improve swimming strength, technique, and endurance. Swimmers will be able to stay active and keep up their swimming skills after the summer league season has ended.
